Zusammenfassung

Dieser Beitrag beschäftigt sich mit verschiedenen Erinnerungs- und Identifizierungspraxen im Kontext der sogenannten kollektiven Un-/Schuld, die Erinnerung an den Holocaust inszeniert und tradiert und ein Narrativ darstellt, das die Gesellschaft strukturiert, beeinflusst und Antisemitismus begünstigt. Es wird das Narrativ der kollektiven Un-/schuld anhand von verschiedenen Inszenierungsformen von Gedächtnistheater (Bodemann 1996) und Gojnormativität (Coffey/Laumann 2021) untersucht, dargestellt, analysiert und diskutiert.

The staging of the past. “Collective innocence/guilt”: How memory practices become reality-structuring identifying practices

Abstract

This paper examines varied memory and identification practices in the context of the socalled collective innocence/guilt, which enacts and transmits memories of the Holocaust, constituting a narrative that structures and influences society, and fosters antisemitism. The narrative of collective innocence/guilt is presented, examined, analyzed, and discussed on the basis of different forms of staging of the theater of memory (Bodemann 1996) and goynormativity (Coffey/Laumann 2021).
