Zusammenfassung

Dass soziale Ungleichheit im Bildungssystem in engem Zusammenhang mit der familialen Herkunft (re-)produziert wird, gilt als gesichert. Der Beitrag fokussiert auf die Schnittmengen von Schule und Familien und geht davon aus, dass Bildungsungleichheit dort entsteht, wo im Vollzug von Praktiken Differenzen zur Positionierung von Schüler_innen und ihrer Familien herangezogen, und in Relationen zu schulspezifischen Leistungsordnungen gesetzt werden. Der Text diskutiert die Relation von Schule und Familie als praktische Schnittmenge und rekonstruiert die Prozessstruktur einer Schülerin vom ‚pädagogischen Sorgenkind‘ zum ‚schwersten Fall‘.

Practices of exclusion of a school’s performance order

Abstract

The nexus between family background and the (re-)production of social inequality in the educational system is well established. This paper focuses on the intersection between family and school. It assumes that educational inequality emerges in the realization of practices that establish difference by positioning students and their families in relation to school performance. The link between school and family is discussed as a practical intersection and reconstructs the process structure of a student in her development from a „problem child“ to a „most difficult case“.
