Abstract

Abstract

Today one of the key trends in the socio-political sphere is the shift of political discourse in a virtual space – a ‘zone of maximum freedom’. In the Internet there is a significant number of interactive online resources, within which there is active discussion of the political process. One way of transition of the mood of Internet users is to create demotivational posters on political themes that, on the one hand, reflect the most actual problems of political power and, on the other hand, construct a unique image of the Russian political power. Virtually, demotivational posters, as the new form of political communication, reflect the most radical and politically incorrect opinions of citizens that precede and somehow provoke mass action.

Keywords: demotivational posters – Internet public – electoral institute – information and communication technologies – political perception.
